Maryam is an oral medicine specialist. After finishing her dental degree and a PhD in genetics of head and neck cancer, she trained as an oral medicine specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Dental School with an externship at Eastman Dental Hospital, London. She returned to Australia in January 2019 to become the program convener and discipline lead in oral medicine at UWA and since June 2021 she has been practising as an oral medicine consultant in Queensland Health and private practice in Brisbane. |
