Professor Gavin Jack

Gavin Jack is Professor and Head of the Department of Management at Monash Business School and former inaugural Associate Dean Research Impact in the Faculty of Business & Economics, Monash University.

His multidisciplinary research interests and expertise include workplace diversity and inclusion, postcolonial organisation studies, sustainable agricultural development, and qualitative and critical management research methods. He has led and participated in a number of multidisciplinary and multimethod research studies into women’s experiences of menopause in the workplace.

Gavin undertakes collaborative research with scholars and practitioners in geography, food security, medicine, health psychology, sociology, languages and intercultural communication. He also enjoys working with professional bodies and organisations spanning a range of private, public (e.g., large public hospitals) and third/community sector (e.g., farmer-led organisations) settings in Australia and overseas.
