Dr Jo Lambert

Jo is vocationally trained in Family Planning and Reproductive Health in Aotearoa New Zealand. Since 2003, she has worked across the spectrum of sexual and reproductive health services in community and hospital settings. Jo has a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach to helping patients and whānau make informed, non-coercive decisions about their sexual wellbeing. She is the Māori Representative for the Boards of the New Zealand College of Sexual and Reproductive Health (NZCSRH) and the New Zealand Council of Medical Colleges, and Chairs the NZCSRH Education Advisory Committee, ensuring cultural safety, Te Tiriti obligations, and health equity remain centred in clinical education. Jo brings her experience as a SRH clinician, wahine Māori (Māori woman) and peri-menopausal Mum to the panel discussing why and how the menopausal experience can differ across cultures.
