The new IMS Guidelines, published in Climacteric in 2026 are based on a systematic review of the literature since the previous 2016 guideline and on a source document available on the IMS website. There are 20 key statements around management of midlife women’s health and menopause. The majority of these contain similar messages to those found in other national and international advisories. Key statements will be identified and application to clinical practice will be discussed.
